About Me
Hi, I'm Kevin!
I've been making apps for Apple's platforms since 2009.
My currently maintained apps are... 📺 Rippple for Trakt – a TV shows and Movies tracker 🏋️ MiloFit – a Workout tracker 🍽️ Fast Feast Repeat – an Intermittent Fasting tracker 🧘 BoxBreathing, 4:7:8 and 7:11 – three Breathing apps
As you can see, I like tacking stuff but I hate being tracked. I'm first developing those apps for myself and I don't want to do things to my users that I wouldn't do to myself. That's why there's no tracking, no advertising and I avoid using dark patterns or pushy marketing practices.
My apps are developed natively with Swift/SwiftUI for Apple platforms because I think it's giving my apps the best look and feel overall. I like apps that are simple but complete and reliable. And it takes time, a lot of my “free-time” in fact! Simple can be achieved by not doing a lot. Compete can be achieved by stuffing everything on the screen. Reliable takes really good building blocks, the right choices and then time to maintain.
I'm doing all of this on my down-time because I always loved this craft. When I'm not developing/maintaining those apps, I take care of my 3-kids family, I watch TV, I drink coffee, I run or I workout.
About MiloFit
I've started working on MiloFit for my own workout tracking. I've tested a lot of apps on the App Store. All of them were either too expensive, or to cumbersome to use... usually both and sometimes they were just unusable for my need.
I wanted something simple, with a great UX and an “affordable” price. Something simple but supporting a wide variety of workouts. I'm currently running a lot but I like traditional strength training and functional strength training. I also like to put a HIIT or a boxing workout in my mix. I wanted to have an app that could log all those different type of exercises, with weights, without, timed, with or without automatic logging, a rest timer, supersets, circuits,...
To be continued...
